(Atoka, TN 9/2/09) Neighbors are putting together the pieces to the horrifying puzzle of the life of the 'Big-bellied rapist'.
Bruce A. Tuck was seen as recently as last week banging on his ex- wife's Atoka home. The couple had lived there together with their young child, according to neighbors, as recently as this spring when they were going through a divorce.
'He is not right,' says next door neighbor Kelly Strickland, a single mother whose recent dealings with Tuck have been alarming.
'I was getting text messages saying, 'Good morning beautiful'... when I told him to stop, he got very upset with me and he sent me a text message that you could tell he was angry.'
Strickland says the harrassing messages started in March, a time when she believed the couple was still going through divorce proceedings. She took the messages to the Atoka police, concerned he might go to her home and try something, but she was ultimately unable to file a police report.
When she took her concerns to Tuck's ex-wife, Strickland says she learned he worked in law enforcement and had abused his power.
'He was fired from that job because he was looking up records of women who had been recently released [from jail] and then was going to their residences and making up stories saying he was looking at buying a house in the area.'
Strickland also says Tuck's ex-wife complained of finding 'a CD in the house and when she looked at it, it had pictures of young women' who were progressively less and less clothed, but not nude.
Tuck's ex-wife did not answer our knock on the door to her home, but called police to have us removed from the area. Neighbors say their hearts go out to her and the couple's young child.
