The article on Prajarajyam in the Eenadu paper has created a hue and cry in party circles but the feelings in the people and leaders are still alive. According to the present situation, nobody would say that Prajarajyam will continue.THE REPORTS carried by Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi on the Prajarajyam Party and the leadership of Chiranjeevi, have been very discouraging for his followers and the eighteen elected legislatures. Already some senior leaders, including Devender Goud and Tammineni Sitaram who joined the actor's party from the Telugu Desam, have deserted it and joined their former political affiliations.
The performance of Chiranjeevi in the assembly has also not been up to the mark. His speeches here are not worthy of note. This is seen as the reason why the two papers seem to be discouraging and casting aspersions on him and his party. In fact some allege that the two papers wanted to bring a non-Congress government to power; wither the TDP or PRP. Unfortunately the Congress Party secured an absolute majority and their one-time major foe, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, became the chief minister.
To say the truth, before the elections and after the elections both daily papers (till the revelation of the results) wrote in favour of both the Telugu Desam and Prajarajyam parties. As the worth of Chiranjeevi became known to everyone, many political experts have come to a decision that his abilities are not enough to run a political party. This seem to have become a popular theory among political circles and Prajarajyam leaders and journalists seem to have taken advantage of this, making statements like sooner or later MLAs of Prajarajyam party would begin consulting Congress and TDP leaders for their well-being. The Eenadu even wrote that Prajarajyam may soon merge with the Congress.
The writings of both papers have annoyed the Prajarajyam Chief Chiranjeevi and some other leaders. This has become fodder for all Telugu TVs and throughout the day they carried special discussions with experts on this subject. Even though Chiranjeevi assured that his party would never merge with any other party, still all a majority of journalists do not believe this.
