If we're going to keep hearing about Michael Jackson ad nauseum -- can you believe he died in June, more than two months ago? -- I guess it's better to take a positive tack. So let's forget about Conrad Murray and his homicidal propofol injections for today, Jackson's 51st birthday.
Oh yes, this is a day for tributes. More tributes. We can never have enough tributes.
My personal favorite: Google. Even if you don't like Mike, the search engine should make you smile as you type in your inquiry. Jackson's feet -- up on his tippy toes, covered with glittery socks -- form the 'O's in the logo. Cute.
If you're planning on couch surfing today, switch over to E! and you can immerse yourself in all things Jackson. The network is airing a parade of shows about the King of Pop and his family.
If you're going to be in New York City, head over to Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Spike Lee's throwing a big block party in Jackson's honor.
Or you could just hold your own private MJ birthday bash. Click here and here for photos of his life and times, and play these songs to set the mood. A happy mood.
There will be more death talk come tomorrow.
